Is it too late for a 50+ years old to learn the cello and be good enough for making own music and song covers?

Q: Sadly no experience with musical instruments and 50+ years old. Is it possible to learn playing the cello and be good enough to make song covers and my own music?

A: It is definitely never too late. Let’s write it honestly, cello is hard to learn at any age, so it is only a matter of discipline to practice consistently and methodically. Also, do not forget to get a decent teacher, that is an important step to make when you want to play really good. And last but not least, enjoy playing and be gentle with yourself. It is absolutely normal that the progress is slower than in other instruments.
