What to do with slippery pegs?

„My cello has wooden pegs that are too slippery. What can I do about it? “

If your pegs slip often while tuning, try to use peg chalk (just an ordinary school chalk is also an option). If it doesn’t help, take the cello to your luthier to check, if the pegs or the peg-holes are ok (e.g. pegs may be too thin and holes too wide). Also, keep the humidity and temperature around your cello as stable as possible and try using your cello more often, it will stay in tune better and you can use just the fine tuners for a long time.
