Is one hour of practice a week enough to learn cello?
Do you want to learn cello, but you have only limited time you can spend on it?
One hour a week is really very very little. But you can try this trick:
If you want to learn playing the cello (or any other instrument), the consistency is essential. Do not spend that hour on just one specific day in the week. Spread it through the whole week. If you do fifteen minutes of concentrated practice, it will be much more valuable! Playing the cello is a physical process. Like an athlete you have to train your muscles and your muscle memory to do very speific things and than keep them in proper shape, or you will lose them. So the regular daily (or near-daily) practice (at least those 15 minutes) really matters, especially at the beginning of the whole cello path.
